Taipei Select – Expertly Crafted Braised Food
For over a century, the delicious aroma of cool braised food has filled the air around the Dadaocheng roundabout. Grandma Ye Bao-zhu made the braised dishes from her father’s noodle shop famous. Having spent a lifetime studying the art of braising, she created six distinct braising sauces, each carefully crafted to complement different ingredients. This culinary heritage has been passed down through three generations. The chicken legs and wings are marinated in the braising sauce until every bit is infused with flavor, ensuring they are cooked to tender perfection. The delicious dried tofu and konjac jelly have even gained international popularity, with numerous orders coming in from overseas.
Yeh’s Luwei has been part of the Store Transformation in Taipei program, initiated by the Taipei City Government in 2015. The program aims to revitalize Taipei’s food and beverage sector as well as its traditional industries. By providing in-depth support, the program helps businesses transform and upgrade, ultimately shaping Taipei’s urban tourism landscape.
