Taipei Select – Old Family-Run Herbal Shop Sells Nourishing Drinks
This family-run herbal shop, which has been passed down through four generations, originated from a street stall set up over a hundred years ago near Lungshan Temple in Wanhua. It later became a proper shop on Herb Lane, which is still operating today. The second-generation store located on Xichang Street underwent a complete renovation at the end of 2024. There is a designated area for experiencing the drawing of medicine lots, connecting to the century-old practice of drawing medicine lots at Lungshan Temple, and getting prescriptions filled at herbal medicine stores nearby. The third-generation owner has dedicatedly developed a full range of herbal products. The store offers a variety of herbal drinks made with secret family recipes, which can be consumed directly or used as a base for simmering ingredients into medicinal herbal soups.
