Taipei Select – Artisanal Fish Balls and Fried Goods
This 60-year-old stall in Dongsanshui Street Market has been using traditional family recipes for three generations, elevating the humble fish ball and fried food into a must-try street food experience. The fish balls are handcrafted using premium tuna and shark, sourced directly from Dongguan in southern Taiwan. Hand-selected and expertly boned by the owner, sea eel is marinated in premium red yeast rice and slow-cooked to perfection. Thinly sliced burdock root, fried to a crispy perfection, exudes an irresistible aroma. Its deliciousness remains even when it cools down, showcasing the true skill and passion of Taiwanese cuisine.
Da Fond Fishball has been part of the Store Transformation in Taipei program, initiated by the Taipei City Government in 2015. The program aims to revitalize Taipei’s food and beverage sector as well as its traditional industries. By providing in-depth support, the program helps businesses transform and upgrade, ultimately shaping Taipei’s urban tourism landscape.
