Acrobatics are part of the show

As well as enjoying fine food and beautiful scenery, for a trip with a difference, visitors to Taiwan should visit Taipei Eye to appreciate Peking opera, lion dance, and other traditional arts performances that are rich in tradition and highly artistic. In doing so, you won’t just enrich your trip, but also experience the varied charms of Taiwanese local culture!

The show has elements of Peking opera, lion dance and other performance styles

The performances include Peking opera, folk arts/acrobatic, folk music, indigenous dance, and folk musical theater. Subtitles are provided in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. Four performances are held each week and the program is changed once every one and half months to two months, always giving audiences something new to marvel at!

Experiences Away from the Stage

As well as splendid performances, experiences away from the stage can be arranged for visitors to TaipeiEYE, such as watching performers get ready for their performances and learn about the dressing and make-up techniques of Peking opera; you can also try on costumes and have photographs taken with performers.

The venue also has traditional musical instrument performances, a Taiwan glove puppet theater display and experience area and various souvenirs for sale. During the time of the Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival, special events are held and seasonal snacks are served so that visitors can enjoy an in-depth experience of the fun of Taiwanese folk culture!
